Queens Park Rovers FC began there season in there new home with a fantastic 6 - 1 win over Team Cavendish FC.
First choice goal keeper Andrew Jackson was out with injury. Gaffer Frankie Bircham who has been out for the last 3 weeks with injury decided to start the game due to Gary Bidgway taking the number one shirt and being a player down.
This did not prove to be a wise decision as he was only able to manage a handfull of minutes before leaving the field in awful pain. his comments were:
" It was too soon to come back, I played as we were a man down or i would have sat this one out again. Warming up i felt ok, but as soon as i sprinted in the first 30 seconds i knew i was in trouble. Unfortunately it has been a massive set back and i dont see me being back anytime soon."

Frankie also shared his views on the game and team mates.
" Mark keane, Marcus and Gary really stood out for me. All 3 were fantatsic. Mark keane earned the Man Of The match and also bagged himself 2 goals.
Peter Bircham was rock solid, as was Danny Casey when he came on. Dean Oliver was impressive and added a goal. Darren scored 2 goals and was a constant threat to the opposition, he has tried to claim the own gol but has no chance!!! Well done lads, lets keep it up."
