Queens Park Rovers F.C were formed from Frankie Birchams previous team FC Kilburn. FC Kilburn were in the Soccer Sixes League which was played out of Archway in London. The leagues venue and kick off times did not suit alot of the players and FC Kilburn lasted only 1 season. As Frankie enjoyed playing in a team made up of close friends he didnt want the experience to stop. Frankie contacted the London Football Leagues about entering a team as they played closer to home in Kilburn, with the games played in Paddington Recreation Ground. On entering the League Frankie decided to call his new team Queens Park Rovers after his beloved Queens Park Rangers! Not all players transfered over into the new team from FC Kilburn. Peter Bircham and Dean Oliver were the only 2 to do so. Gary Bidgway who made a couple of appearences for FC Kilburn also joined. Queens Park Rovers began there life in the London Football Midweek League Summer 2009. There first season together in the league had its ups and downs. As a team, the players felt they could have won the league after there third place finish. Queens Park Rovers FC have began there second season together in the London Football Midweek Winter League 2009-2010. The squad was changed with players leaving and coming in, but the bond was still as strong. The winter league was a great success for Queens Park Rovers FC as they finished as Champions with only one loss. In there 3rd season together in the Spring 2010 league Rovers were again crowned Champions but this time they were unbeaten. This was Rovers last season in the London Football leagues as they feel a new challenge is needed.
